This was a classic club run - a two part lunch run on the 21st July.
We met at the Quest Apartment Hotel - 58 Delhi Road, North Ryde - and left at 9:45am with 9 cars in convoy. We took the M2 before heading up through Beecroft, Boundary Road and through Dural to a coffee stop at the Vintage Pantry Cafe in Galston. We met another GranSport there to round up the numbers.
From there we navigated the north western suburbs via Cattai Ridge Road and Pitt Town to Windsor, then over the river towards Kurmond and around the rolling countryside of North Richmond. The route took us through Kurrajong and then back towards Richmond.
Our lunch venue was Barrel 88 - now called the Kurmond Social Cafe and Restaurant on Bells Line of Road, a kilometre or so from the Kurrajong junction. This restaurant has been renovated and has an Italian focus - which was clearly the case as the Ferrari Club had also booked a table!
It was a busy day, apart from the two Italian clubs present and the normal flow of customers, there was a 50-person baby shower outside as well, so the restaurant had to work hard to get everything out to all the tables.
