6 cars lined up outside Ferrari Maserati Sydney on the 3rd February for the first club run of the year - a nice run down south to Crooked River Wines in Gerringong. We had:

one MC Stradale
two GranTurismos
one Levante
one GranSport
one Ghibli Series 3

The first section was an easy run down the Princes Highway to Waterfall, where the team then followed the highway instead of continuing on to the M1 towards Wollongong. The morning break was at Cafe Diem in Helensburgh and the Princes Highway from Waterfall is the old road and therefore quieter and more fun with some nice flowing corners.

Cafe Diem is always a great spot for a mid-morning coffee and a chance for everyone to catch up. With one GT heading back to Sydney, the rest of the group then headed south to join Lawrence Hargrave Drive through Stanwell and along the coast over Seacliff Bridge before turning onto Memorial Drive that ultimately reconnected to the M1 motorway that took us all the way to Gerringong. Whilst in traffic at Albion Park, we were joined by a Quattroporte from the Southern Highlands and it was a nice convoy around Kiama to the vineyard!

We have been to Crooked River Wines a few times now, they do a great two or three course lunch with amazing wines and an even more amazing view both towards the coast and over their vines into the countryside behind. Along with the restaurant, they have a microbrewery and accomodation and the vineyard was established 20 years ago with numerous awards over the decades. It is worth a visit if you are down that way!
