Strictly limited numbers - this will be a drive to the Hunter Valley for a long lazy lunch.
Members and guests are invited to join the club on a northern drive to the beautiful Hunter Valley.
This will include a spirited drive up the Old Pacific Hwy via Wollombi taking in some wonderful roads and views.
Our destination will be a vineyard, cooking school and classic car restoration workshop owned by Club members Vince and Jen Nicita.
On arrival we will gather at the workshop for photos where champagne and beer will be served with a grazing platter of antipasto, cheeses, breads, arancini, frittata and bruschetta.
We will then go up to the cooking school for a long lunch of hand-rolled pasta, slow cooked lamb, salads, potatoes and bread.
Wonderful local wines from our local vineyards will be served with lunch. Michael Worthington, also a car enthusiast, will be attending to tell us a little about Hunter Valley wines and specifically his own wines. We will then finish with dessert and coffee.
Cost is $95 per head including drinks and glorious local wines.
Logistics:
We will meet at Cafe Patina in 64 Coonanbarra Rd, Wahroonga at 7:45 for an 8:30 departure.
There will be another coffee stop at the Corrugated Cafe on Peats Ridge Rd from 9:30-10:00 where we will meet other members.
Leave the Corrugated Cafe at 10:00 to get to the destination by 11:30.
