This year we have organised a jam packed weekend away to the Hunter Valley. Members can join for all or any part of the weekend so there's no excuse not to dust off the Maserati and come for a drive.
Saturday 19/10/24
Jen Nicita will be offer a cooking class at her Our Italian Table cooking school. Classes are limited to only 10 so get in quick as it will sell out. The class starts at 10am until around 2pm.
For those not cooking there will be a drive up from Sydney with a lunch stop at Laguna Trading Post then we meet the cooking class members at Nicita Estate at 3pm for Prosecco and nibbles.
From there we will go to dinner at a lovely new Italian/South American fusion restaurant that has opened at Briar Ridge vineyard called Estancia Osteria.
Sunday 20/10/24
We will meet after breakfast for a beautiful country drive to Dungog then to the wonderful Farmer's Wife Distillery for lovely banquet lunch. After lunch members can drive home or back to Pokolbin if staying Sunday night. Sunday night will be a casual dinner at a local pub.
Monday 21/10/24
After breakfast we will head into Newcastle’s Waterfront district and go for a walk along the Waterfront before dinning at one of the famous restaurants overlooking the inner harbour.
After lunch we will head down the west side of Lake Macquarie and follow the old highway home to Sydney.
