Robertson South Adventure
We will meet in the McDonald’s carpark cnr Davies Rd and Arub Rd Padstow, just off the M5 at the Fairford Road interchange at 8.30am.
From there we will head south through the Heathcote Road gorge down to the Princess Highway and then on to the Sublime Point Lookout for a quick stop/view/ice cream.
We will then continue south via Mt Ousley and the Wollongong bypass to Albion Park Rail and then head west along the Illawarra Hwy towards Macquarie Pass. Once we have navigated the historic pass route to the top of the escarpment we will stop at the Robertson Milk factory for a browse.
At 11.45 am we will depart for our restaurant venue at the Village Shop Burrawang. It will be street parking in this quaint highlands village with autumn colours just beginning.
After our southern highlands lunch we will head west on the Illawarra Highway toward Moss Vale and the Hume Freeway. For those with time there is there will be a chance to have a stop at Sutton Forest for local crafts and gifts before a speedy return to Sydney along the freeway.
Please bring cash to make settling the bill for lunch a little easier’.
