It is time for our annual two day run to - and over - the mountains. This is the run that enables members to do one day (either one) or both!
Meeting at McCarrolls Maserati in Artarmon at 9:30am for a 10:00am start, the run will take us to our lunch stop at Kurrajong via Annangrove and around the river through Kurmond. Lunch will be at Seasons Cafe (a well known spot as we have used it before). The afternoon leg will take us back down to Yarramundi and up Hawkesbury Heights to Springwood and on to an evening in Katoomba.
Dinner will be at Pins on Lurline (the chefs are already salivating over having some Italian machines in the grounds!), expect $40-$50 per person excluding wine.
The next morning we will meet in Lilianfels Avenue near Echo Point Road at 9:00am for a 9:30am start. Our route will then take us down through Mount Victoria and through the sweeping roads to O'Connell for a coffee break. Then back through to the main road and a stop for lunch at Ambermere Rose Inn in Hartley. We will be keeping to the main roads rather than the rougher side roads this time!
Lunch at Ambermere will be a set 2 course menu for around $50 and a chance to taste their wines and local produce at their store. Ambermere's original building was constructed in 1845, so you will be transported back in time! Please advise of any dietary requirements when confirming your attendance for the run.
