"Tour Downunder" for Maserati Clubs Worldwide
20th to 26th March 2018
The Tour
The Tour will take place as a road trip over seven nights, commencing on Tuesday 20th March 2018 and finishing in Sydney on Monday 26th March 2018.
The Tour starts at Torquay on the Great Ocean Road which is about a 11⁄4 hour drive from Melbourne. Accommodation is at the luxurious RACV Torquay Resort which is set on 40 acres with sweeping views over the ocean and bushland. Following cocktails and a "welcome" dinner the first evening, we will spend the next day touring the Great Ocean Road, one of the world's great drives, before returning to Torquay for the second night.
The following day we will travel to Bendigo in the Victorian goldfields with accommodation at the Schaller Studio and dinner at the fabulous and historic Fortuna Villa. Next we will drive through the Northern Victorian wine areas to Albury with lunch planned at one of the many wineries. The Northern Victorian wine area is noted for it's wide variety of wines and particularly for its "big reds", muscats and ports.
In Albury we will be staying at the Atura Hotel and it is planned to have dinner at a nearby cattle station on the banks of the Murray, Australia's largest river. It is then on to Canberra, Australia's capital city, where we will stay at the iconic 5-star Hyatt Hotel Canberra which is located near both the old and new Parliament Houses as well as Lake Burley Griffin. The following morning we will attend Auto Italia, Australia's premiere event for Italian cars and motorbikes before travelling to Sydney that afternoon.
In Sydney we will stay at the 5-star Shangri-La Hotel in the historic Rocks area with sweeping views over Sydney Harbour. The Hotel is well located near Circular Quay, the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. We will have a free evening in Sydney to allow participants to have a look around the Sydney waterfront at their own pace.
The final Day will include a trip on the famous Manly Ferry across Sydney Harbour with lunch at your leisure and we will finish with a Grand Finale function that evening at the Sydney Opera House.

The Options
The pricing has two levels of accommodation. While the "standard" accommodation will be high quality, the "deluxe" level will allow for even more luxurious rooms at those hotels where it is available. Please note that there is a limited number of "deluxe" rooms and these will be allocated on a "first-come" basis, based on when a deposit is received.
There is also two shorter 3-night options available to provide for local members who may be unable to participate in the full itinerary. The 3-night options are for "standard" accommodation.
Support
The event is supported by Maserati SpA and Maserati Australia and New Zealand. A support truck, provided by Maserati Australia & New Zealand, with mechanic and tools will accompany the Tour to minimise any problems cars may have.
