Members are invited to join us for a drive south of Sydney to historic Berrima. Our destination is lunch at the Surveyor General Inn.
The Surveyor General Inn is Australia’s oldest continuously licenced inn. Originally built in 1834 and licenced a year later. There is so much history attached to this inn being convict built and being a makeshift gaol at one stage. Close to being pulled down in the 1960’s it was saved and now renovated over the past 20 years to ensure it survives into the future.
The Surveyor General Inn has an old world bar, modern bistro and beer garden. A visit to the Southern Highlands would not be complete without a visit to Berrima and the historic Surveyor General Inn.
Our drive is scheduled to take 2 and half hours, we will meet at Ferrari Maserati Sydney, 862-874 Elizabeth St, Waterloo.
