Mark your calendars for this weekend! Auto Italia in Canberra is a fun day for all the family.
Auto Italia is just around the corner. The Maserati Club's national dinner with the Victorian club is now a strong tradition. Again, it will be held at the National Museum of Australia with support from Maserati Australia bringing the new Grecale. The special guest speaker is the hall of fame race driver Colin Bond. We host the Auto Italia committee, the deputy Italian ambassador, Mayor of Queanbeyan and the GM of Maserati Australia.
Drive Captain David Stuart Watt will be leading a drive down on Saturday, meeting at Camden Valley Inn at 11:15am for lunch. Then touring to Canberra. Dinner is from 6:30pm on Saturday, with an hour’s drinks and canapés then a long Italian table style with 5 different dishes and a cash bar for those who wish to party on. After those, 4 different desserts.
Then Sunday is again at Queanbeyan Park with the F1 on a big screen walking distance at the Royal Hotel at 3pm. Last year with Peter White's amazing example “we” won the whole day. Colin orchestrated an amazing Maserati display. It’s the largest annual gathering of Maserati’s in Australia, so don’t miss out.
Yes, the event is on the F1 weekend. Auto Italia must book venues over a year in advance and therefore they get stuck with the date selected. For example, the 2024 date will be the first Sunday in April for anyone who is keen to organize next year’s diary.
PLEASE BOOK EARLY, last year’s dinner tickets were sold out 2 weeks prior to the event. So please get in early. It’s a top event.
