DATE CHANGE: Due to weather we have postponed the Concours until November 15th!
Maserati Club Annual Picnic and Concours d'Elegance
Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are unable to run our concourse at Vaucluse House this year. Instead we are combining the event with our vineyard lunch in the Hunter Valley.
A club drive will be organised from Sydney with details to follow.
Meeting at 11.30 am at Nicita Estate in Pokolbin. The cars will be lined up amongst the vines for some excellent photo opportunities.
2019 saw a record number of cars turnout for our Concours event, with Club Maserati owners going to great effort to show their cars.
We invite you to spruce up your car as the stage is set for another memorable day. With the cars lines up amongst the vines, great for the keen enthusiast and their digital camera, this is your chance to capture each masterpiece of engineering and body design.
Every year this classic event for our club gets even better, and is now one of the flagship events of the year. Don’t leave your masterpiece in the garage or under a cover, show it off, as for many of our members, this is one day when the cars get the spotlight, so give it a polish and buff to display in all its glory.
Some owners use their cars as their daily drive, and even with 60-100k plus on the odometer, you can see the passion that they have put into their masterpiece with many not having a mark on them. A number of cars with over 100,000 kms, still look like they have come straight from the showroom floor, showcasing how passionate owners are about their cars.
Over the years we have seen cars that you could honestly say could be in a Museum, but that’s not what our Concourse day is about, it’s all about showing the passion for something you drive and love.
Within the club we are raising the standard of judging to the level of ICJAG that a number of members are now involved with, Todd Gilmour and Don Crutchley. If anyone wants a car that is greater than 30 years old judged to ICJAG standard, we welcome it. Please let us know before the day so we can allocate the time. In this class we are focused on originality and preservation so future generations may enjoy the Maserati.
The Concourse is open to all Club Maserati owners, if you have a car that has been hiding in a garage or under a cover, get it out, and let our members see something they may have not seen before.
We have a $20 entry fee per car to help us defray the cost of running the day.
Lunch will be an Italian-style antipasto picnic lunch box with cold meats, salad, grilled vegetables, cheeses, olives and crusty bread rolls finished with a sweet treat. This is purchased at a cost of $25 per person. BYO drinks.
