- December 12, 2020
8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Registration for this event is now open.
On the 12th December, “Lap of the Lake” is a one-off driving day to unite all owners of beautifully manufactured and designed Italian automobiles and motorcycles around the beautiful back drop that is Lake Macquarie. Club Maserati Australia has been invited to join this event we hope you will join us.
Lap of the Lake will be a “solo” event to comply with all local social distancing restrictions. The event organisers are maintaining a consistent message that this will not be a mass gathering event, however just because we’re not driving or riding in a group with the other clubs, doesn’t mean we can’t all be connected with our love for our all things Italian.
All Italian cars will all be driving on the same day around the lake, but it will be classified as a 'solo' event. Socially distanced but connected by our passion for Italian design and engineering. Lake Macquarie is surrounded by some fun winding and open roads, scenic passages and there is no shortage of cafes and restaurants to visit.
The Maserati Club group will follow the road as a sub-group to comply with COVID-19 safety requirements with registered participants - details to follow. As a small team we commence at the Cowan rest area aka old toll booth and truck stop at 8,30am. We will then make our way up to Peats Ridge where we will stop for a coffee break then making our way up to start the lap of the Lake. Shannons have a site at Halton Park near Eleebana and we will stop there for a short while before heading around the lake to Cams Wharf for lunch at the Lakehouse cafe.
We hope you can join us for this exciting event. If you have any questions regarding Maserati Club participation - please contact either Stephen Wells or Anna Di Bello.
