2015 - November 8th. Vaucluse House Concours & Picnic
All members and friends are invited to our annual Picnic and Concourse d‘Elegance at Vaucluse House, Wentworth Road, Vaucluse, starting at 9.30am.
Last years turnout of over 26 Maserati masterpieces, was a great success with Maserati Club owners putting in a great effort to show their cars. The photo shoot at the Carriage House at the rear of Vaucluse House was a great venue to kick off a good day, with the historic sandstone Carriage Houses in the background of gleaming Maserati, bathed in the early morning sunlight – great for keen photographers!
Polish up your coachwork, engine, rims and interior. The judges are looking at how original your Maserati is, so the shiniest does not always win the Concourse!
Over recent years we have had a great spread of old and new cars, the sleek and the racy lines of the latest GranTurismo and Quattroporte, to the elegant lines of the 3200, 4200, Spyder, GranSport models and on to the understated muscle characteristics of Shamal and Ghibli, and the Biturbos of the 70s and 80s. No Concourse would be complete without the classic lines of past Indy, Ghibli, Bora, Merak or Kamsin, yesteryear’s true super cars that still cause the hairs on the back of your neck to bristle up.
Bring your barbeque or a lunch, we would like to have all cars at Vaucluse House at the rear Carriage House by 9.30am Sunday morning for the photo shoot, then moving around to the Western Paddock by 11.00am so that they can be judged, with a prize giving by approximately midday.
The Concourse is open to all Maserati owners, it is a great day to catch up with other Club Members and take in the many stories of our members travel overseas each year, and share the stories of track days and our other drive day events.
We will meet at 9.30am, Sunday 8th November 2015 at the Carriage House, which is at the rear of Vaucluse House for a photo shoot, as we did in 2014. The entry is off Oloa Avenue, turn right off Wentworth Rd, (the normal entrance of Vaucluse House ).
It is important for members to arrive on time , as we have approx 30-45 minutes to assemble , at the Carriage House.
