Breakfast at the La Peruse Boat Shed
It was an early start for some, but those hardy members gathered at Milsons Point from 7.30am to run the Harbour Bridge and Anzac Parade all the way out to La Peruse.
We had a pleasant surprise with a welcome party of Todd and Dana in the tunnel under the Station. It was great to see them safe and sound back from the Americas and nice to have a morning hug and coffee before we set off.
There is nothing like the sound of Maseratis in the morning as we low geared the Eastern Distributor Tunnel and woke up the others travelling along side of us. The run was smooth and uneventful as we pulled up on the La Peruse peninsular and manage to all park within a reasonable distance from our restaurant.
We enjoyed a very pleasant meal and conversation overlooking the beautiful bay and sandy beach.
Unfortunately, the Maserati Spyder was reversed parked and we all know Maserratis don’t like going backwards, the car cut out, later started and got within 3kms of home, cut out and wouldn’t start. Spotted by our Chief Judge at Scuderia Cavalino Servizio getting a sensor replaced after a long tow truck ride.
Thank you to Denis and Irene for bringing Ken and Pauline to reconnect with club members and events and thank you to Colin for the Breakfast photo.
