By popular demand we are organising a mid week escape to the southern highlands for winter feasts, log fires and Maserati runs to places of interest all around the southern highlands and the mid south coast of NSW.
Staying at The Robertson Hotel (the former Ranelagh House - haunted) as our base for the time away means you only need to unpack once.
The tour has two options a 4 day 3 night or a 5 day 4 night. If you would like to register your interest please choose the 3 or 4 night option as your preferred and you will receive updates on the trip direct to you inbox.
Itinerary
Monday 27/7
We will meet at Camden Valley Inn for coffee and cake at 10am for a 10.30 departure for Bowral.
In Bowral we will have time to visit two art galleries and other curios and for those inclined some local shopping before a light lunch in the town.
At 2pm we will depart for The Robertson Hotel and check into our rooms.
We have time to relax and explore the Hotel before festivities that night.
5.30pm arrive dressed for drinks in the bar and then at the appropriate hour we will move into the restaurant for our Xmas in July feast.
Tuesday 28/7
7-8.15 am Breakfast in the restaurant.
8.45 sharp we leave for the HARS aviation museum tour at Albion Park Rail. The 1.5 hr tour is booked for 9.45am and we can enjoy a morning tea of coffee and cake/scones in the cafe afterwards.
From Albion Park we will head to the famous town of Berry for a walk of the Main Street and lunch in one of the many cafes.
After lunch we will tackle Berry Mountain and head back to our accommodation via Kangaroo Valley. A stop at the Kangaroo Valley Inn will allow a drink and a break on the way home.
Late afternoon for relaxing at the hotel.
6.30pm we will head into the Robertson Public House and Kitchen for an informal dinner.
Wednesday 29/7
7-8.30 Breakfast at the hotel.
9 am Today we head to Redford House for a tour of the Manson and then the nearby art gallery.
From the Art gallery we will head to the Burradoo Farmhouse for lunch at the Produce Store/Cafe (unless Three Blue Ducks restaurant is open by then).
After a wander around the farm we will head back to our hotel to relax.
Alternatively for those feeling adventurous the Illawarra Fly Tree Top walk is only 20 mins from the hotel. On a good day the views are outstanding.
6.30 we will head to Ricco’s Italian Restaurant in Robertson for an enjoyable evening.
A night cap will be waiting us when we return to the hotel.
Thursday 30/7
7-8.30 Breakfast
Those on the 3 night tour will depart the hotel this morning for home.
9.30 This morning we will head into Robertson to explore the Milk Factory and other craft shops.
10.30 approx we will head to the Fitzroy Falls and visitor centre.
11.30 approx we will head to Eling Forest Winery for some wine tasting before lunch in the winery cafe.
2.30 approx we will head into Moss Vale for a wander along the shops and then back to the hotel at your leasure.
6pm drinks in the bar.
6.30pm à la carte meal in the hotel restaurant.
Friday 31/7
7-9am Breakfast and then check out of our rooms.
Option 1 is to head home via your own means.
Option 2 is to take the coast road via Sea Cliff Bridge then Royal National Park with Coffee and a light lunch in Sutherland before heading home.
